Hands of Hope Honduras
Centro de Rehabilitación Manos de Esperanza
A new and important project of Coffee 4 Kids Honduras is the Hands of Hope Recovery Center. Located in a beautiful hillside valley in La Jutosa, the Hands of Hope Recovery Center is a joint project of Coffee 4 Kids and the Eternal Life Church of Choloma. Hands of Hope is a Christian recovery center working to rehabilitate local men who are struggling with drugs and alcohol
and in need of hope and God’s abundant love.
Hands of Hope uses the Celebrate Recovery curriculum, a resource of Saddleback Church in Mission Viejo California. Residents of the recovery center spend six months in a structured program of recovery, prayer, worship and work on the center’s farm.
In January 2015, the land on which the center is located was purchased through donations made to the project via Coffee 4 Kids. The center is now operational and has a solid business plan to achieve financial self-sufficiency in the future. While that work is underway, we continue to welcome prayer and visits to the center to experience the healing power of Christ’s word in recovery. We also are in need of financial support to operate the center and sponsor residents as the center grows.
